About Dr. Priyanka Parikh

For people who are tired of being reduced to a diagnosis.

Many of the people Dr. Priyanka works with have spent years trying to explain experiences that don't fit neatly into a single category.

Veterans adjusting to life after service. People living with chronic illness, chronic pain, or sleep difficulties. Adults carrying the effects of trauma. People navigating multiple cultural identities, family expectations, or responsibilities that others may not fully understand.

For some, daily life has become organized around managing symptoms, appointments, treatments, or responsibilities that other people rarely see. Others find themselves carrying expectations from family, culture, or community and questioning whether those expectations still fit the life they want to build. Many have spent years adapting, coping, and pushing forward while feeling unseen in important ways.

Often, they've moved between providers, diagnoses, treatments, or explanations without feeling like anyone is looking at the full picture.

Dr. Priyanka's work begins with the understanding that people are more complicated than any single diagnosis. She believes that meaningful care starts with understanding the full context of a person's life, not just their symptoms.

Dr. Priyanka Parikh's Story

Her clinical foundation was shaped somewhere most therapists have never worked.

Dr. Priyanka spent years providing care within the Veterans Affairs healthcare system, working across primary care mental health, PTSD treatment, residential programs, and integrated medical settings. That environment, complex, high-stakes, and deeply human, gave her a level of clinical depth that most therapists develop over an entire career.

It also gave her a deep appreciation for something she now brings to every client: the ways emotional and physical health are inseparable.

What affects the body often affects the mind, and vice versa. Chronic pain, illness, and sleep difficulties can affect how people feel emotionally, while stress, trauma, and unresolved experiences can sometimes show up physically. By understanding how these experiences influence one another, people are often able to move forward in ways that feel more meaningful and lasting.

She is also deeply interested in the ways culture, family, and identity shape people's lives. Many of the people she works with are navigating multiple cultural identities, family expectations, or competing ideas about who they should be. Together, they explore how those experiences influence relationships, self-understanding, and the choices people make about their lives.

What It's Like to Work With
Dr. Priyanka Parikh

Clients often describe Dr. Priyanka's presence as steady, warm, and clarifying. She has a particular ability to help people make sense of experiences that feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to put into words. Many clients find that things begin to feel more manageable once they can better understand what's happening and why.

Her approach is collaborative and practical without being prescriptive. She draws from evidence-based methods including CBT, CPT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions, adapting her approach to each person rather than applying a fixed formula.

Whether someone is working through trauma, adjusting to a major life transition, living with a chronic health condition, or feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, Dr. Priyanka creates a space where people can better understand what they're facing and move forward with greater confidence.

She is also trilingual, working with clients in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.
