About Lorna Wittenrich

For people carrying a lot, and wondering when they'll finally have room to take care of themselves.

Lorna has spent nearly twenty years helping people navigate some of life's most demanding seasons. Over the years, she's learned that people are often far more capable than they realize. What they're missing isn't strength. It's having someone who slows down long enough to truly understand what they're carrying.

That's the kind of therapist Lorna strives to be.

Lorna Wittenrich's Story

Curiosity has always been at the center of Lorna's work. She's interested in people's stories, how early experiences shape us, and why certain struggles continue long after the original situation has passed.

Throughout her career, she's worked with infants, children, adults, and families in a variety of clinical settings. That breadth of experience allows her to see each person's situation from multiple perspectives while tailoring therapy to what they need now.

Many of the people Lorna works with are balancing full lives while carrying more than anyone realizes. Parents trying to hold everything together, adults moving through major life changes, people who have spent years taking care of everyone else without much space for themselves.

She also brings personal understanding to supporting parents of neurodivergent children, an experience that continues to shape both her perspective and her work.

Lorna is currently completing her PhD and remains committed to growing alongside the people she serves.

What It's Like to Work With
Lorna Wittenrich

People often describe Lorna as warm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. She asks good questions, listens carefully, and doesn't rush toward conclusions. Sessions are collaborative, with room to explore what's happening while also finding practical ways to move forward.

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, Lorna adapts therapy to the person sitting in front of her. She draws from person-centered, attachment-based, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches, always considering what will be most helpful for each individual.

Over time, clients often find themselves responding to life's challenges differently. They feel more confident making decisions, more grounded in relationships, and less overwhelmed by situations that once felt impossible to navigate.

Lorna works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stress that has built up over time. She has specialized training in perinatal and postpartum mental health and enjoys supporting parents of neurodivergent children.

She also works with individuals navigating infertility, reproductive health concerns, adoption and foster care, substance use, and the many changes that come with building or growing a family.
