About Erica Oppenheimer

For people who are tired of understanding themselves intellectually and still feeling stuck.

Many of the people Erica works with are thoughtful, capable, and highly self-aware. They have spent years trying to understand themselves, reading, reflecting, talking things through, and making sense of what feels difficult.

Yet the same patterns continue to repeat.

The same fears show up in relationships. The same pressures follow them into new stages of life. The same expectations shape decisions long after they have stopped being useful.

Erica's work is less focused on offering quick answers and more focused on helping people understand the deeper forces shaping their lives, so they can relate to themselves, their relationships, and their choices differently.

Erica Oppenheimer's Story

Before becoming a therapist, Erica spent time working in other industries, including tech. While the work made sense on paper, she found herself continually drawn back to the questions that had interested her from the beginning:

Why do people repeat painful patterns? Why do intelligent, capable people find themselves stuck? What helps someone create meaningful change?

Her own experience in therapy reinforced something she still believes today: meaningful change rarely comes from the perfect piece of advice. More often, it develops through a consistent relationship with someone who is paying close attention.

That belief is the foundation of how she works.

What It's Like to Work With
Erica Oppenheimer

Erica's sessions are unhurried. She pays attention not just to what you say, but to what keeps coming up, what gets avoided, and what seems to carry more weight than the words themselves suggest.

She believes that symptoms rarely appear out of nowhere. Anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, self-criticism, relationship struggles, and emotional overwhelm often develop for important reasons and can reveal something meaningful about how a person has learned to navigate the world.

Rather than focusing only on relieving symptoms, Erica helps clients understand why they keep finding themselves in the same struggles, relationships, or ways of relating to themselves.

She also holds a PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification) and has specialized training in supporting people through infertility, pregnancy, postpartum experiences, and the identity shifts that often accompany them.
