About Nicole Blue
For people who are doing their best to keep up, but are finding it harder to feel like themselves.
College, work, relationships, and the expectations we carry can become overwhelming, especially when we feel pressure to keep moving forward even when we're struggling. You may be managing anxiety, feeling burned out, questioning your direction, or wondering why things that once felt manageable now feel so difficult.
Sometimes, the challenge isn't that you aren't trying hard enough. It's that you've been trying to manage too much for too long.
Nicole Blue works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, stress, and life transitions. She is particularly interested in supporting college students and women as they navigate competing demands, questions of identity, and the pressure to meet expectations while remaining connected to themselves.
Nicole Blue's Story
Nicole is a compassionate, person-centered therapist with more than five years of experience supporting people through difficult experiences and periods of change. Her approach begins with the belief that you are more than the challenges you're facing. Your history, relationships, values, cultural experiences, and hopes all matter in understanding what brings you to therapy.
Nicole recognizes that the path toward well-being looks different for everyone. Rather than prescribing a particular way to live or asking you to fit someone else's idea of success, she works to understand what matters to you and what you want your life to look and feel like.
She is EMDR-trained and incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when appropriate. This approach can help people process distressing experiences and work through the ways those experiences continue to affect them in the present. Nicole integrates this work with a person-centered approach that makes room for both emotional understanding and meaningful change.
Nicole also brings lived familiarity with Black American culture and first-generation college experiences to her work. These experiences inform her broader cultural awareness and commitment to approaching each person with curiosity, humility, and respect for the context of their life.
What It's Like to Work With
Nicole Blue
Nicole aims to create a space where you can show up as you are, without judgment or the pressure to have everything figured out. Therapy is an opportunity to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and develop a clearer understanding of your emotions, needs, strengths, and values.
Her approach is collaborative and individualized. She balances empathy with honest accountability, helping you recognize patterns that may no longer serve you while building practical tools to navigate everyday challenges. You can expect a therapist who takes your experiences seriously, respects your autonomy, and supports you in identifying changes that feel meaningful to you.
Together, you may work toward greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, stronger self-trust, and more confidence in navigating uncertainty. The goal isn't to eliminate every difficult feeling or make life perfectly manageable. It's to help you move through life's challenges with greater clarity, flexibility, and a stronger sense of yourself.
